his strategy seems to be “I need to be lucky only once to be in driver’s seat”. I think RW in India needs to have a “what if” strategy considering the backing he has from “regime change” forces.

The latest blasphemy brouhaha in PK is a stark demonstration of how the people are still “subaltern hindu” in their religiosity.
To clarify, real subaltern Hindus don’t believe in blasphemy. They venerate particular sanctified spots/vigrahas. Pakistanis seem to have acquired new objects to venerate after their conversion. The concept of blasphemy is just acting as steroids.
